Mary A. Hoegner, 98, of Moline, died Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at home. Graveside services were Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Pastor Scott Culley officiated. Sullivan-Ellis Mortuary, Ltd., East Moline, assisted the family.
Mary A. Belha was born October 15, 1915 in Chicago, the daughter of Frank and Mary Zvonek Belha. She married Robert W. Hoegner on December 17, 1938 in Iowa. He passed away in 2004.
Mary was a homemaker and partner with her husband in their family-owned business of Hoegner Tool & Die Co. until they both retired. She loved the great outdoors and was constantly tending her yard work whenever possible.
Survivors (and spouses) include grandsons, Robert (Traci) Strauch, South Range, WI, Scott (Kristi) Strauch, Kansas City, MO; great-grandchildren, Chayce, Evan, Maura, and Addison Strauch; sisters-in-law, Pauline Belha, East Moline, Sylvia Belha, Moline, and Irene (Dwain) Christofferson, Moline, brother-in-law, Paul Hoegner, Moline; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Beverly Strauch, son, Curt Hoegner, brothers, Lester Ladd, John Sr., and Jerry P. Behla, brother-in-law, Warren Hoegner, and sister-in-law, Alice Harteker.
