Mildred L. Fath, 96, of Milan, Illinois passed away Sunday, November 30, 2025 at St. Anthony’s Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Rock Island, Illinois.
A visitation will be 4:00-6:00 p.m. Monday, December 8, 2025 at Sullivan-Ellis Mortuary, East Moline, Illinois. Private burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline at a later date. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Mildred Louise Davidson was born May 21, 1929 in Milan, Illinois; she was the daughter of Manford Arthur and Nellie Loeta (Robinson) Davidson. Mildred married John W. Hurt. She later married Rudolph Fath, Jr February 7, 1970 in Colona, Illinois. He passed July 12, 2002. Mildred worked for the railroad in laundry for 10 years, and a cook and manager for 9 years at the former A & W Root Beer, East Moline. She was a longtime member of the former Memorial Heights Methodist Church, Rock Island, Illinois. She was a former member of the Left Bank Art League; she was a freelance artist. Mildred also enjoyed crocheting, bowling, and bingo.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, John W. (Cheryl) Hurt, Milan, Illinois, her grandson, David Michael Hurt, Moline, Illinois, her brother, Donald Davidson, Moline, Illinois, and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Manford and Nellie Davidson, her husband, Rudolph Fath, Jr., and her sisters, Virginia King and Patricia Louis.
