Paul Jackson Obituary

Paul V. Jackson, 62, of East Moline, Illinois passed away at his home on June 15, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, creativity, and unwavering love for family. There will be a prayer service with rosary at 11 a.m. Saturday June 27, 2026, at Sullivan-Ellis Mortuary, Ltd., East Moline. Visitation will be one hour before services.  In accordance with Paul’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private family burial will be held at a later date. Paul was born July 13, 1963, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Nelson and Catherine Jackson. He was a 1982 graduate of United Township Highschool.  At the time of passing Paul was working as a production worker at Tysons Hillsdale, Illinois. Paul found his greatest happiness in the worlds of Sci- Fi, theater, collecting and comics. He could spend hours discussing a favorite performance, introducing someone to a classic comic book hero, or proudly sharing the latest addition to his carefully curated collection. To him, these were more than hobbies—they were opportunities to bring people together, spark conversations, and celebrate imagination. As a brother, Paul was a constant source of support, humor, and encouragement. As an uncle, he was the one who was always there when you needed him whether that was for advice, guidance or just a laugh. Many family members will forever treasure memories of his animated storytelling, infectious laughter, and ability to make ordinary moments feel extraordinary. Paul's true collection was not the items displayed on his shelves, but the memories he created and the lives he touched. Those left to cherish his memory are his sister, Beverly Mathis and her children, Stephanie Mathis, Andria (Timothy) Wooldridge, Samantha (Andrew) Zinke, his Brother Gregory Jackson and his children Hailey Jackson, Madelyn Jackson and Chloe Jackson and his great Nieces and Nephews Vanessa Mathis (Bradley Pearson), Marcus Mathis, Lauryn Skyes-Mathis, Alana Zinke, Izabella Zinke and Zoey Zinke. He was preceded in death by his father and mother Nelson and Catherine Jackson, his brother Stephan Jackson, and great- great niece Avery Pearson. Though the curtain has fallen on Paul's earthly performance, the impact of his life will continue to resonate in the hearts of those who loved him. Like the heroes he admired and the stories he cherished, his legacy reminds us that courage, imagination, and love endure long after the final chapter.
