Philip Jensen Obituary
Philip N. Jensen, 86, of Colona, passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2015, at Rosewood Care Center of Moline. Graveside services will be held at Rock Island National Cemetery with Military rites by the VVA Chapter 299 on Tuesday, March 3 at 10:00 a.m. Please meet at Sullivan-Ellis Mortuary, Ltd, East Moline, at 9:00 a.m. to process to the cemetery.
Philip N. Jensen was born May 12, 1928, in Phillips, Wisconsin, the son of Norma I. (Norum) and Robert F. Jensen. He married Dolores R. Steel on May 12, 1951, at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas. She passed away on June 9, 1998. Philip N. Jensen worked in the maintenance department at Consumers, Moline for 30 years.
He enjoyed working in his garage. Philip and his son, David, built his house together and they built Davids house also. He had a great sense of humor and loved chocolate. Many years ago he owned and operated a Laundro0mat in Moline and enjoyed camping with his wife, Dolores.
He is survived by his son, David Jensen and girlfriend, Kim Mitchell, Colona; daughter, Gail Jensen, Denver, CO; grandson, Josh Jensen, Atkinson; granddaughters, Kellie and Anna Jensen, both of Bend, OR and Katy Jensen, Silvis. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Dolores, two sons, Keith and Larry.
