Raymundo "Mundi" Garcia Mendoza

Raymundo “Mundi” Garcia Mendoza, 41, of East Moline, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2023 as the result of a tragic car accident.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 23, 2023 at Sullivan-Ellis Mortuary, Ltd., East Moline.  Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 22, 2023 at the funeral home.  Cremation rites have been accorded.  Pastor Scott Culley will officiate. Burial will follow at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline.  Memorials maybe made to the family for funeral expenses.

Raymundo Garcia Mendoza was born October 9, 1981; the son of Ricardo and Petra (Garcia) Mendoza.  Mundi attended United Township High School.  He was working at Atlas Roofing, East Moline, as a machinist at the time of his passing.  Mundi was a big Chicago White Sox fan.  He collected a large amount of White Sox memorabilia in his life time.  Mundi also enjoyed fishing and collecting hats.  He loved his daughters very much: he would do anything for his girls.  Mundi could be described as a “people person”; he loved to make people laugh.  He will be greatly missed by all.

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Petra Mendoza, East Moline, his beloved daughters, Arrianna Warren-Mendoza and Abbigail Warren- Mendoza, his brothers, Ricardo (Jenny) Mendoza, Texas, Rene Mendoza, East Moline, and Roger Mendoza, Rock Island, a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Ricardo Mendoza and his nephew, Enrique Mendoza.
