Richard B. Hanson, 56, of East Moline passed away in a tragic accident Wednesday, October 4, 2023.
There will be a private ceremony at a later date. Cremation rites have been accorded.
Richard Bradley Hanson was born March 28, 1967; the son of Thomas Eugene and Carol Anne (Koresko) Hanson. He was a 1985 graduate of Rock Island High School. Richard attended the art college in Columbus, Ohio. After college he became a professional tree climber and certified arborist. Richard worked for Bartlett Tree Experts for nearly 2 decades. He also worked for Tenant Trucking until their closing in 2016. Rich was a creative, sensitive, and nature loving person from a young age. He loved being outdoors and climbing trees. Rich was a bright star who drank deeply of life. His family will miss him.
Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Carol Anne Hanson, Rock Island, his sister, Elizabeth “Beth” (James) Kerr, Rock Island, his brother, Brian Hanson, Rock Island, his sister, Gina (Luke) Rushing, Moline, and Jacquelin (Gerald) January, Fairbanks, Alaska, his nephew, Paris Kerr (Matt), his nieces, Taja Hanson (Paul Dugan), Nina (Aaron) Hayes, Symone (Andrew) Matus, September January, Ashley (Josh) Jarrod and Stephanie Walker, his best bud, Terry, numerous aunts and uncles.
He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas E. Hanson, his uncle, Donald, and his grandparents.
