Richard Darnell Jett

Richard Darnell Jett, Sr., known to his family as "Poopsie",  was born July 7, 1963 in Memphis, Tennessee and passed away in his home May 14, 2023 in Davenport, Iowa.

Richard was  kind, caring, and a generous soul to those he met, leaving a long-lasting positive impression of him.  He will truly be missed as he was the life of the party with his infectious laugh and those "impressive" dance moves. 

He is survived by his mother, Cammie Jett, Rock Island, Illinois, his wife, Mary Bolden-Jett, Davenport, Iowa,  his siblings, Ronald Jett,  Rock Island, Illinois, Reginald Jett,  Rock Island, Illinois, Rita Jett, Rock Island, Illinois and Retina (Derrick) Jett-Rummels, Macomb, Michigan, his children, Antwain Euell,  Rock Island, Illinois, Richard Jett, Jr.,  Rock Island, Illinoi, Precious (Wayland) Jett-Ryan,  Rock Island, Illinois, and Brooke Greenwood, Rock Island, Illinois,  a very special aunt, Freddie Orr, Rock Island, Illinois, and a long time friend, Rory Lomas, Killeen, Texas.  Richard was the grandfather to 27 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.  He had a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Richard was a father figure and friend to many. . 

He was preceded in death by his father, John Dorman and a special cousin, Ann "Priss" Nelson.
