Richard Wayne Lewis

Richard W. Lewis, 64, of Prophetstown, Illinois, passed away Saturday, November 2, 2024 at OSF St. Anthony’s, Rockford, Illinois. 

A celebration of Life will be at a later date.  Cremation rites will be accorded.  Memorials may be made to BADD.

Richard Wayne Lewis was born February 22, 1960 in Geneseo, Illinois; the son of Robert Lewis and Janet Wangeline.  Rick attended Moline High School.  He last worked as a mechanic.  Rick enjoyed working on and riding his Harley, and he also enjoyed music.  He was a member of ABATE.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters,  Ricki Brooks (Christian Hart),  Decatur, Illinois, and Amber Dains, Decatur, Illinois, his grandchildren, Hayden Davis, Emma Butler,  Riley Butler, Hadley Butler, Tyler Rentmeister, Olivia Rentmeister, and Jude Swartz, his siblings, Paula Klauer, Prophetstown, Illinois, Crystal (Shawn) Mulica, Rock Island, Illinois, Kelly McCullon, Fort Dodge, Kansas, Terri (Paul) Boring Parkerburg, Iowa, Steve Lewis, Galva,  Kansas,  special niece, Mychele (Steve) Mack, a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lewis and Janet Wangeline, and his sister, Karla Pauli.
