Roberta Hoffman Obituary
Roberta Hoffman, 86, of East Moline, passed away Saturday, September 18, 2021 at her home.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Sullivan-Ellis Mortuary, Ltd., 1902-3rd Avenue East Moline, Illinois. Burial will follow at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Tom Horton will officiate.
Roberta Isabell Hettie Shinn was born July 19, 1935 in Carrollton, Illinois; the sixth child of Elze and Josephine (Reese) Shinn. Roberta was one of eight children. She was educated in the Carrollton, Illinois area. Roberta married Joseph C. Hoffman, September 13, 1956 in Coal Valley, Illinois. She was a housewife and loving mother.
Roberta enjoyed working in her yard especially her flowers. Her biggest hobby was taking care of her family.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Jeannie (Richard)Herbert, New Windsor, Illinois, Joyce (Randy) Ziegler, Blairsville, Georgia, Cathy Beard, East Moline, Jerry (Linda) Hoffman, Rock Island, John (Diane) Hoffman, Moline, and Robert Hoffman, East Moline, fifteen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, and fourteen great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her grandson, Stephen Douglas Scott, three brothers, and four sisters.
