Ronald Lee Edwards

Ronald (Ronnie) Lee Edwards, a resident of Moline, Il formally a past
resident of Fort Myers Fl., passed away on Sunday May 18,2025 in
Moline Il. His niece Susan was by his side for  months while he battled
a terminal illness.
Cremation rites have been accorded as per his wishes.
 He was born April 19, 1948 to Eugene Webster
Edwards and Rosemond Betty Pitsch Edwards, now deceased.
Uncle Ronnie was everyone’s favorite uncle. He liked to fish and spend
time in the park taking long walks and spending time with family. He
lived close to his last living sister Joyce until May of 2024. They spent
time together shopping, grilling, and occasional visits to the local
casino. Ronnie loved his Politics.
Ronnie dedicated over 25 years as a manager working alongside Pastor
P.J at the Rock Island rescue mission. He helped with moving people
from the streets to the mission and helped find resources to assist them
 to transition to community living.
 He was preceded in death by all his siblings. Robert Eugene, Lucille
Mary, Rosemond Marvel, Raymond Martin (twins), Helen Ruth, Joyce
Anne, Kenneth William, Andrew Louis, and Ronald (Ronnie) Lee, and
dear friends of 25+years, Ron and Trixie Griffin
