Ronald Teague Obituary
Ronald E. Teague, 69, of Coralville, Iowa, died Monday, January 27, 2014 at the University of Iowa Hospital, Iowa City, Iowa. There will be a visitation from 10:00 11:00 a.m. and a memorial service at Gospel Mission Temple, Davenport, Iowa on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Bishop Jimmie Horton will officiate.
Ronnie was born June 5, 1944 in Rock Island, Illinois, the son of Vernie and Aquilla (Clark) Teague. He loved his basketball at Rock Island High School. He went to Parson College for 4 years. He worked at John Deere for 8 years. He cut his first record with the Marshall Airs and played Gospel music every Wednesday and Sunday on WQAD. He loved music and was a music instructor for 24 years at the University of Iowa retiring in 2006.
Ronnie is survived by his siblings, William (Polly) Poston, Minneapolis, MN, Aquilla Ewing, Scottsdale, AZ, Doris Dorman, Davenport, IA, Vern (Marva) Teague, East Moline, IL, Gerald (Betty) Teague, Phoenix, AZ, Daniel (Michelle) Teague, San Diego, CA and Bernard Teague, Phoenix, AZ and a host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Vernon.
