Rosie Grisco Obituary
Rosie J. Grisco of East Moline, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf, Iowa.
Catholic funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline, Illinois. Father James Pallardy will be the celebrant. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at Sullivan-Ellis Mortuary, Ltd, 1902-3rd Avenue East Moline, Illinois. Burial will be at a later date. Memorials may be made to St. Anne Catholic Church.
Rosie Jane Lee was born November 6, 1934 in Coffeyville, Kansas; the daughter of Truman Lee and Marie L. (Treece). She married Willis Grisco on June 9, 1966 in Rock Island, Illinois. He preceded her in death on December 17, 1996. Rosie’s employment at John Deere Harvester provided her with numerous opportunities for interaction with people of various cultures bringing her great joy. She retired in 1996 after 30 years of service.
Rosie was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Anne Catholic Church in East Moline. Rosie worked hard making numerous sacrifices for her family. Rosie loved the following: traveling with her grandchildren, shopping, interacting with little children, and talking “no one was a stranger”.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Theresa Lee-Hodson (John); daughter-in-law, Audrey Hicks; grandchildren, Vanessa Lee-Hodson, Elizabeth Lee-Hodson, Takeira Hicks, Lafontaine Watford, Shalamar Watford, and Latiamar Watford; great-grandchildren, Kenaisha Hicks-Wright, De’Vontay Wright, Jessica Woods, Jaquan Baych, Tracy Butler, and Okoiya Watford; siblings, Eleanor Johnson, Carol Patillo, Marva Miles, and Georgia Sue Lee.
Rosie was preceded in death by her parents; husband Willis Grisco; son Michael Hicks; siblings Virginia Lee, Edward Lee, John Lee, Edward Lee, Truman Lee, and Norman Lee.
