Rosie Lou (McKim) Tipton

Rosie Lou Tipton, 71, of Silvis, passed away, Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Aspen Rehab and Health Care, Silvis, Illinois.

Cremation Rites will be accorded.  There will be no services.

Rosie Lou McKim was born July 18, 1949 In Albia, Iowa; the daughter of Harold and Katherine Leona (Parker) McKim.   Rosie was a homemaker.  She married the love of her life, Keith “Tippy” Tipton, May 18, 2003 in East Moline, Illinois.  Together, Rosie and Tippy road their motorcycles, enjoying the country-side views.  She enjoyed camping, fishing, and bike riding.  Rosie loved to play darts, pool, cards, and listen to the oldies music.  She was known to enjoy “the Twist”.  Rosie enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening.  In her later years, she enjoyed coloring.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children; Jimmie Joe (Amy) Haines, Ottumwa, Iowa, Linda Sue (Cecil) Garcia, Phoenix, AZ,  JoDean Mooney (Rob Rhoads), East Moline, and Paul Harrington (Traci Grime) Silvis, her grandchildren, Nickki Bostick, Amanda Branham, Nathan Cordon, Eli Cordon, Maria Garcia, Brandon Mooney, Steven Mooney, Gunner Mooney, Brandi Harrington, Tye Garrett, Trey Grimm, and Trent Mooney, 15 great-grandchildren, her siblings Elzina (Kenny) Bently, Dorothy Service, Rita (Vince) Craul, Carol (Ray) Stevens, Gerraldine Stewart, Norma (Calvin)Scales, Paul (Rhonda) McKim,  Kathy (Brad) Edmondson, Eddie (Bonnie) McKim, and Barbie (Danny) Casper,  43 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Keith “Tippy” Tipton, her siblings, Leona Oscarmeyer, Bev Barker, Harold McKim, Jerry McKim, and Diane McKim.
