Obituary
Ruth M. Clark, 101 of Aledo, Illinois, passed away Monday, July 17, 2023 at Aledo Health and Rehab Center.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at Sullivan-Ellis Mortuary, Ltd., East Moline. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Steven Clark will officiate. Burial will follow at The Illinois City Cemetery.
Ruth M. Blanchard was born October 28, 1921: the third daughter of Jeffe and Elsie (Echardt) Blanchard. She was raised on a hog farm in Illinois City. Ruth married Hugh Clark, August 12, 1967. She worked as a housekeeper. Ruth enjoyed traveling during the winter months to California. She loved to go for drives in her convertible. Ruth also enjoyed working in her garden, mowing the yard, and keeping the streets clean.
Those left to cherish her memory are her nieces, Eugenia Wylie, Biloxi, MS, and Jean Bohannon, Moline, great nieces, Christine and Lindsay, great nephew, Ethan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jeffe and Elsie Blanchard, her infant brother, her sisters, Nina, Lucille, and Grace, and her nephew, Richard Doyle.
