Shane Thomas Spates, 38, of Rock Island, passed away Saturday, August 26, 2023 in Rock Island.
There will be services. Cremation rites have been accorded.
Shane Thomas Spates was born April 5, 1985 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; the son of Stephen Pruett and Marsha Spates. He was a 2004 graduate of United Township High School, East Moline. While in high school, Shane played the trumpet in marching band. He also was in the Color Guard. Shane last worked at the Outing Club, Davenport as a server. He enjoyed singing and playing games with his younger siblings. Shane will be remembered as a very out-going person and full of life.
Those left to cherish his memory are his father and step mother, Stephen and Toni Pruett, Coal Valley, his mother, Marsha Spates, Yuma, Arizona, his brother and sister-in-law, Chris and Jenny Pruett, Geneseo, his sister, Amanda Pruett, Yuma, Arizona, his brother, Quin Pruett, Coal Valley, his sister, Kyra Pruett, Coal Valley, his sister, Chloe Pruett, his nephews, Landen Pruett, and Malakai Pruett, his beloved dog, Carmel, a host of aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
