Sherie Lavae Nicholson was born May 29, 1957 in East Saint Louis, Illinois; the daughter of Sylvester and Elouise (Holmes) Hall. Sherie attended United Township High School. She worked for Project Now Head Start for 25 years before retiring.
She loved working with children. Sherie never met a stranger. Her laugh was contagious and Sherie was always the life of the party. She enjoyed cooking, hanging out with friends, and spending time with her beloved grandchildren. Sherie’s grandchildren were her pride and joy.
Sherie courageously raised five children as a single parent. She made countless sacrifices for her children and Sherie worked tirelessly to ensure their needs were met. Her legacy lives on through her children and grandchildren. We take comfort in knowing that Sherie is at peace.
Those left to cherish her memory are her parents, Sylvester and Louise (Holmes) Hall, her children, Tenesha (Lewis) Litwiler, CO, Deon (Trevin) Johnson, Bloomington, IL, Arvie Weathers, East Moline, Dynisha Weathers, Moline, and Anthony Weathers, Moline, her grandchildren, Ky’Venn, Lilyana, Tjaden, Jacob, Chandler, Jazlene, Avery, Jason, Nealon, Sebastian, and Nyla, her siblings, Sheila Rich, Dante Dean, Pamela Amegnran, and LaToya Dean.
