Sylvia Lucille (Joiner) Ferguson

Sylvia Ferguson, 78, of Moline, passed away Saturday, July13, 2019 at UnityPoint Health Trinity Rock Island. 

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 18, 2019, at Sullivan-Ellis Mortuary, Ltd, 1902-3^rd Avenue East Moline.  Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens immediately after.  Memorials may be made to the family.

Sylvia was born July 12, 1941, in Rosiclare, IL, the daughter of Phillip and Ethel Hattie (Baker) Joiner. She married Billy Fuqua in 1962.  She married Richard Ferguson in 1967.  Sylvia was the owner of Covermakers Packing Company, for 28 years.  She enjoyed working in her yard, tending to her flowers, and bird watching.  She enjoyed going out to eat and most of all spending time with her extended family.  She was looking forward to the births of four great grandchildren. 

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Billy Fuqua, Jr., Moline, Tracey (Charles) Smith, Rosiclare, IL, Anthony Ferguson, Moline, and Richard Todd Ferguson, Coal Valley; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren, sisters; Nellie Smith, Harrisburg, IL, and Donna Fulfs, Moline, her best friend for 37 years, Virginia Dunn, East Moline.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Billy Fuqua, husband, Richard Ferguson, grandson, Anthony Christian, brothers, Phillip Joiner, Jr., James Joiner, and sister Dorothy Garrison.
