Thelma Parmentier-Vanhyning Obituary

Thelma B. Parmentier-Vanhyning, 91, of Moline, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2023 at the Dixon Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Dixon, Illinois.

As per her wishes, there will be no services. 

Thelma B. Tribble was born March 6, 1931 in Jacksonville, Illinois; the daughter of Davis P. and Helen Irene (Rolson) Tribble. She married Albert Parmentier.  Thelma took on several adventures in her career.  She worked for the Arsenal, International Harvester, and John Deere “The Rusty Palace”.  Thelma also sold “Home Interiors” and real estate.  She last owned two apartment complexes. 

Thelma enjoyed dining out at “Lagomarcinos” and “Miss Mamies.”  She enjoyed playing at the Casino.  Thelma loved composing sentimental rhymes for family and friends.  She will be remembered as a strong lady and wonderful mother.

Those left to cherish her memory are her beloved son, Michael Parmentier, Moline, her future daughter-in-law, Elaine Blois, Worcester, UK, her granddaughter, Rheanna Parmentier, Colorado, her sister, Beverly Pettit, Plant City, Florida, her half-sister, Delores Singer, Petersburg, Illinois, her nieces, Alexis Winter, Roseville, California, Tina Jonas, Shelbyville, Indiana, her nephews, Randy Pettit, Port Byron, and Roby Pettit, Port Byron. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Albert Parmentier, her Aunt Hazel Due, Grandma Fletcher, her sister, Margaret Winter, her brothers, Wayne Tribble, and Davis Parker Tribble, her half-sister, Patty Motley, her half-brothers, John Davis Tribble and Danny Tribble, her nephews, Neil Winter and Rick Pettit.
