Obituary
Thomas J. Hoeg, 76, of Hampton, Illinois passed away Saturday, April 8, 2023 at the University of Iowa Hospitals, Iowa City, Iowa.
There will be no services. Cremation rites have been accorded.
Thomas Jerome Hoeg was born March 15, 1947; the son of Jerome and Florence (Wolf) Hoeg. He married Deana Ailene Hook, May 9, 1969 in Rock Island, Illinois. Thomas was an ASC Master Mechanic working as a body man for Sexton Ford, Moline for 31 years, then Key Buick, Moline for 12 years, and lastly Sexton Ford several years before retiring in 2020. He enjoyed stock car racing, racing RC cars, and watching everything to do with racing. Thomas was a driver for the Quad City Speedway. He loved the outdoors where he enjoyed camping, fishing, and disk golfing.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 53 years, Deana Hoeg, Hampton, his sons, Michael (Tiffany) Olszewski, East Moline, and Samuel (Jessica) Hoeg, East Moline, his grandchildren, Samantha Hoeg, Carlos Hoeg, Rickey Hoeg, Izayah Hoeg, Courtney Adams, Dakota Adams, Caleb Adams, and Riley Adams, his great grandchildren, Addison, Shevy, Violet Rose, Eli, his brother, Christopher Hoeg, and His sister Mary Whitmere, his good friends, Greg Edmonds and Steve Johnson, host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Kathleen Jacobs.
