Twyla Kay (Husted) Lannen

Twyla K. Lannen, 63, of East Moline, passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family.

Funeral services will be 10:00 am. Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at Sullivan-Ellis Mortuary, Ltd., East Moline.  Pastor Scott Culley will officiate.  Burial will be at a later date.  Visitation will be 4:00 -7:00 p.m. Monday, September 25, 2023 at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to the family.

Twyla Kay Husted was born August 25, 1960 in East Moline, Illinois; the daughter of Garland and Carolyn (Myers) Husted. Twyla was a 1978 graduate of United Township High School.  She married Donald Lannen on November 3, 1990 in East Moline. Twyla worked for Servalite, East Moline, for over twenty years.  She last worked as a caretaker for the Arc of the Quad Cities Area, Rock Island for over 6 years.

Twyla enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and swimming in their pool.  She enjoyed taking trips and traveling to new places.  Twyla was the first to crack a joke.  She will be remembered as someone who was always there for others and “one of a kind”.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of thirty-three years, Donald Lannen, East Moline, her children, Donald R. (Sarah) Lannen, Clinton, Iowa, Jessica (Rich) Neuin, Bellevue, Nebraska, David (Summer) Lannen, East Moline, Ashlie Lopez (David Tabb), Knoxville, Illinois, and Alyssa Lannen (Keevan Taylor), port Bryon, Illinois, nineteen beloved grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and her brother, Ray (Karla) Husted, Florida. 

The family would like to thank UnityPoint Hospice and University of Iowa Hospitals for their great care.

She was preceded in death by her mother, father, and grandparents.
