Velma Madison Obituary
Velma J. Madison, 70, of East Moline, IL, died Friday, March 9, 2012 at Rosewood Care Center, Moline. Visitation will be Thursday, March 15, 12:00 1:00 p.m., and services will follow at 1:00 p.m., at Sullivan-Ellis Mortuary, Ltd., East Moline. Rev. Kenneth Porter will officiate. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline.
Velma was born January 29, 1942, in Jacksonville, IL, to Johnny El and Helen (Price) Watkins. Velma married Virgil Madison on June 29, 1968 in Jacksonville, IL. She worked at Alcoa for 29 years retiring in 2001. She loved spending time with her family, playing cards, and having barbeque.
She is survived by her daughter, Jacqueline Daniels, Moline, IL, sons, Michael (Patsy) Burton, East Moline, Donald Burton, Iowa, granddaughters, Nicole Daniels, East Moline, Kayla Ruebline, Jacksonville, IL and 5 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.
