Violet Edwards Obituary
Violet B. Edwards, 92, of Moline, IL, died Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at her home. A memorial service will be Thursday, October 9 at the home of her daughter, Betty Ann Roesler, for the family. Burial will be at the Rock Island National Cemetery at a later date.
Violet was born January 4, 1922 in Hampton, IL, the daughter of Elwin and Dolly Lee. She married Harold Edwards who preceded her in death on Feb. 22, 2002. She was a homemaker. Violet loved bingo and had many friends from bingo. Her nickname at bingo was Cricket. She loved her family.
She is survived by her son, Ronnie (Sandi) Phillips, Texas, daughter, Betty (Larry) Roesler, East Moline, sister, Dolly Lestner, Hampton, grandsons, Jim (Karen) Chambers, Moline, Ricky Phillips and Rusty Phillips, both of East Moline, great grandchildren, Angie Stottler and boyfriend, Steve Lowder, Moline, Nick (Lauren) Stottler, Hampton, Nathan Stottler, East Moline, great great grandchildren, Adisen Stottler, Moline, Dominic Stottler, Hampton and Kayden Stottler, East Moline.
Preceded in death by her parents, 3 husbands, a brother and 2 sisters.
