William Anthony Obituary
William Bud Alexander Anthony, 84, of Rock Island, formerly of Moline, IL, died Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at the Rock Island Nursing and Rehab Center. Cremation rites will be accorded. Sullivan-Ellis Mortuary, Ltd., East Moline is assisting the family.
William was born August 10, 1929 in Keokuk, Iowa, the son of Aubrey and Lavon (Sharp) Anthony. Bud was a supervisor the Franks Foundry and several others in the Quad Cities retiring in 1991. William was a WWII Veteran, with the military police in Okinawa, Japan. He belonged to the American Legion Post 0150, Muldrow, OK. He enjoyed auctions, and in his younger years he liked to go hunting.
He is survived by his daughter, Judy (Dennis) Johannson, New Windsor, IL, sons, Jon (Janet) Anthony, New Webster, IN, Terry (Nancy) Vincent, Moline, IL, sisters, Bev Dennison, Rock Island, IL, Freda (Dick) Carlile, Milan, IL, brother, George (Sharon) Anthony, Millersburg, IA, 4 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters, 5 brothers, 1 daughter, Bonnie Chaney, and 1 stepdaughter, June Vincent.
